The trial version of 4t Explorer Sweeper stores options ONLY until you exit the program. To store your settings permanently you need to order the full registered version of 4t Explorer Sweeper.

The Options dialog has the special "?" icon in the top right corner. To get help on any option, first click this icon (your mouse cursor should change to "?", too), and then click on a particular option - a tip will be displayed in the small yellow window. In Normal mode the application runs in the system tray (you can see its icon there). When you switch the application to the Hidden mode, the icon will disappear from the system tray, and nobody will be able to find 4t Explorer Sweeper on your screen. However, all features will be available, and the program will run according to the settings set from the Options dialog previously. To access the Options dialog in the Hidden mode, just go to your Start menu, locate 4t Explorer Sweeper group, and click "4t Explorer Sweeper Options" link. This will open the Options dialog and you will be able to switch to the Normal mode again and change any other settings.

A red icon indicates that the "Run Automatically" option in the Options dialog is turned off. To run the application in this mode, select "Run now" from the right-click menu off of the systray icon, or click the Run now button in the Options window, or check the "Run Automatically" option to let 4t Explorer Sweeper run automatically every several minutes.

Please check that you have corresponding options set in the Options dialog. Your browser doesn't clear the cache, history, or cookies while it is open (while you can see MS IE or Netscape windows in your Windows task bar). However, all of these files will be cleared according to your settings when 4t Explorer Sweeper runs after you close your browsers. For some Windows versions, certain files cannot be deleted until the system is rebooted. For example, index.dat files- which are located in your MS IE Cookies, History, and Temporary Internet Files folders- will be deleted and recreated ONLY after your system is rebooted.

MS IE lets you store your favorite links in its Favorites list. But how you can access your favorite links quickly but NOT show other users YOUR Favorites in the MS IE menu? Hidden Favorites. "Hidden Favorites" are shortcuts associated with your favorite URLs. To access "Hidden Favorites" quickly, just type: about:shortcut_name in your MS IE address bar. 4t Explorer Sweeper gives you the unique ability to add your favorite URL to the list of "Hidden Favorites". On the "Internet Explorer" options page you can manage the "Hidden Favorites" list. Also, you can press the customized keyboard shortcut key ("GrabKey") to make 4t Explorer Sweeper automatically add the currently opened URL from MS IE to the list of "Hidden Favorites".

By default, MS Windows is configured to help you when you type commands in the "Run" command line of your "Start" button menu, or in the "Open" command line of your MS IE "File" menu. It will automatically show you all previously typed commands which are spelled similarly to the commands you are typing. But if you don't want to let others access your typed commands list or other similar lists (for example, your username for a site when you type it in an HTML page opened by MS IE, etc.), you can set these autosuggest options off from 4t Explorer Sweeper. To turn your MS Windows autosuggest options on you can go to Internet Options, click on the Content tab, then click on the Autocomplete button and customize autosuggest settings (don't forget to uncheck this option in 4t Explorer Sweeper).

"BossKey" is a very useful feature. It allows you to have a customized keyboard shortcut which will totally hide all opened browsers windows (MS IE, Netscape) in less then a second. "BossKey" works in the Hidden Mode, too.

Setting "Delete on Windows shutdown" ensures that your files, passwords, visited URLs and other important data will not be accessed by any other person who accesses your PC after you. Setting this option on is recommended when you want to keep your private data secured and don't want to run 4t Explorer Sweeper during your Windows session.
